Dr Ed Skinner - Clinic365

Built by a Specialist GP who thought STI testing should be easier

Dr Ed Skinner founded Clinic365. He is a Specialist GP with over 10 years in sexual health. He saw too many people skip STI testing because it felt awkward, costly, or hard to fit in. So he built a clinic that works around you — online, by phone, at home, or in person. No judgement. No waiting rooms. No barriers.

About Dr Ed Skinner and Clinic365

Dr Ed Skinner is a Melbourne-based Specialist GP with over 10 years in sexual health testing, treatment, and prevention. He founded Clinic365 to make sexual health care easier for everyone — and is also respected for his work in sexual health research and teaching as an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne's Department of General Practice and Primary Care.

Dr Ed saw that many Australians put off STI testing. They felt embarrassed, or it cost too much, or it was hard to fit in around work, study, and family. So he built Clinic365 to work differently — care that adapts to your day, not the other way around. Talk to a Specialist GP by phone, get tested at any pathology centre across Australia, order a discreet at-home kit, or visit our East Melbourne clinic in person. Most results return by SMS within 2-3 days.

What Dr Ed treats.

  • STIs: diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
  • HIV prevention: PrEP, PEP, and DoxyPEP.
  • Sexual problems: in both men and women.
  • Skin conditions: genital herpes, genital warts, and molluscum contagiosum.
  • Vaccination: HPV and Mpox at our East Melbourne clinic.

Pricing built around access. With a Medicare card, the Specialist GP consult is bulk-billed and pathology tests are covered by Medicare — STI testing is free. Without Medicare: online STI test $39, telehealth consult $59, at-home test kits $59, in-person consult $149. If you test positive, the treatment consult is bulk-billed for Medicare card holders or $59 without. See the fees page for the full pricing table.

Our mission. Make sexual health care easy to get for everyone, every day of the year. We work to lift STI testing and treatment rates with fast, low-cost, judgement-free care from Specialist GPs. We have pathology centres across Australia, so people in cities, country towns, and remote areas can all get tested. We welcome all Australians — LGBTIQA+ people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, overseas students, older adults, and people living with a disability.

Research and academic work. Dr Ed is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne, contributing to research, teaching, and mentoring the next generation of GPs. He works on the NHMRC Partnership Project developing a digital tool to optimise STI and HIV prevention, testing, and care across Australian general practice. Clinic365 is a partner alongside ASHM, the RACGP, the Victorian Department of Health, and Western Health.
