Everything you need to know about free STI testing September

September is Sexual Health Awareness Month. To mark the occasion, Clinic365 is offering free STI testing for the first 4 days of September 2026 (Tuesday 1st – Friday 4th). This includes free online STI testing referrals and free telehealth consultations with our Specialist GPs.

What you get. Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B — plus optional self-collect throat, vaginal, and rectal swabs at no extra cost. With a Medicare card, pathology is bulk-billed — $0 at every stage. Without Medicare, the consultation is still free. Bring your private health or OSHC card to pathology — fees may be covered by your insurer. At ACL sites, we bill directly to BUPA, Allianz, AHM, Medibank Private, and NIB for overseas students. For other visa holders, BUPA and Allianz. Otherwise, pay upfront and claim from your insurer.

Who can book. Everyone. No age restriction. Available anywhere in Australia via telehealth.

When do bookings open? Tuesday 1st September 2026 at 8am AEST. Places are limited each day — first in, first served. We recommend booking as early as possible.

Early access. Want to book before everyone else? Sign up to our newsletter and we'll email you 48 hours before bookings open to the general public, giving you exclusive early access to secure your spot.

Why free? STI rates in Australia are at record highs. Cost is a major reason people skip testing. By removing the barrier during Sexual Health Awareness Month, we want to normalise regular screening as routine health care.
