Call ahead: Always call before visiting to confirm the centre accepts semen samples and has availability. Not all pathology collection centres perform semen analysis.
Preparation: Avoid ejaculation for 2–7 days before your test (fertility testing). Avoid alcohol for 72 hours. Return your sample within 45 minutes of collection and keep at body temperature.
Referral required: You need a valid pathology referral. Get yours through our Online Sperm Test ($39) or Telehealth Consult ($59).
Post-vasectomy testing: Different rules apply. No abstinence required. Most pathology centres accept post-vasectomy samples. Contact your chosen centre to confirm.
