How it works. Book a $39 online STI test. Walk into any pathology lab. Get your results by SMS. If anything comes back positive, our Specialist GP calls you to discuss your result and arrange treatment. Prescriptions are sent to your phone — take them to any pharmacy.

What does free treatment cover? Your treatment phone call with a Specialist GP is provided at no extra charge. This covers reviewing your result, prescribing treatment (such as antibiotics for chlamydia or gonorrhoea), partner notification advice, and follow-up planning. Prescriptions are sent by SMS — you only pay the pharmacy for the medication itself.

Do I need Medicare? No. The treatment consultation is free regardless. If you have Medicare, your pathology (blood tests and swabs) is also bulk-billed at most labs including Australian Clinical Labs (ACL), Laverty, QML, and Dorevitch. Without Medicare, the lab may charge separately for the pathology tests — check with your lab before attending.

Which STI tests include free treatment? All of them. Our standard 5-infection STI screen ($39) covers chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, and hepatitis B. You can also add extra tests like mycoplasma, trichomoniasis, herpes, and more. If any result is positive, the treatment consultation is included.

What if I need ongoing treatment? The free consultation covers your initial treatment. If your condition requires follow-up or specialist referral, your GP will discuss options and costs with you during the call.

Completely confidential. We do not notify your regular GP, employer, or insurer. Your test, your result, and your treatment stay between you and your Specialist GP.
